Cake, coffee, music, and books – upcoming events in Franklin

Check your calendars – we have some fun events coming up in Franklin over the next week or so!

CBopenmic

On Thursday, January 22, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the Cake Bar is hosting its first Open Mic Night.  Acoustic and a cappella acts are welcome (unfortunately, the venue can’t currently accommodate larger/louder acts).  If you’re interested in performing, please contact Angie at (508) 553-8700. If you’d just like to be part of the audience, feel free to stop by to enjoy the music and Cake Bar treats.  The Cake Bar is located at 17 East Central Street in Franklin.

Next Tuesday, January 27, at 6:30 PM, the Franklin Public Library will host Ken Gloss, owner of Boston’s Brattle Book Shop, for a free talk on the value of old and rare books.  If you have an old book and you’re interested to know what it might be worth, bring it with you, and Ken will give you a free verbal appraisal after his talk. The library is located at 118 Main Street in Franklin.

If you have an upcoming event you’d like to publicize, please contact me and let me know!
