Save the Date – Franklin’s first-ever arts festival

Someday, summer will be here.  When it arrives, make sure you’ve saved room on your calendar for Franklin’s first-ever arts festival!  Held from July 25 to August 1, 2015, the yet-to-be-named festival will feature performances at the Franklin Performing Arts Company’s new home, the downtown Black Box theater; the Town Common; and Dean College.

The festival will mark the start of Franklin’s efforts to have its downtown area named a state cultural district through the Massachusetts Cultural Council‘s cultural district initiative.  If Franklin is successful, the designation will help us encourage business and job development, tourism, and historic preservation, so this festival will be a great opportunity for all of us to help support that goal!  Read more in the Milford Daily News here, and stay tuned for more details.
