Franklin Public Library Program tonight – Discovering New England Stone Walls

If you’re free tonight at 6:30 PM, stop by the Franklin Public Library to hear author Kevin Gardner discuss his book on New England’s stone walls, The Granite Kiss.

Kevin will share with us several of the main topics of his book, including the history of the stone wall in New England, building techniques, stylistic development, and the walls’ significance to the New England landscape.  In case you’ve ever wondered how to build your own, Kevin will demonstrate a stone wall in miniature using tiny stones on a tabletop!  Following the presentation, Kevin will hold a question-and-answer period during which attendees are encouraged to ask for advice about stone wall problems or projects on their own properties.

This program is free and open to all. The Library is located at 118 Main Street in Franklin.
