I want to share with you one of my new favorite things about living in Franklin – the Franklin Farmers’ Market!
Although I’ve lived in Franklin almost five years, this summer is the first time I’ve been able to attend the Market, and I think it’ll be a weekly tradition for me from now on. There are plenty of fresh veggies and fruits for sale, but that’s not all the Market has to offer; you can also find handcrafted items, locally-grown flowers, potted plants, baked goods, cheeses, meats, and more. Last week I picked up an olive oil and sea salt focaccia bread, some Foxboro-made Asiago cheese, and had an amazing, local, delicious lunch!
The market takes place every Friday from June 5-October 30 (except July 3) from noon to 6 PM on the Town Common, at the High Street end opposite St. Mary’s church. Check out the Market’s vendor list or Facebook page for more information; not all vendors will be at the market every week, so if you see something that strikes your fancy, snap it up before it’s gone!
