Remember back in May, when we announced that Franklin had been named one of the Top 100 Safest Cities in America? It’s happened again!
ValuePenguin, a personal finance website that conducts and shares research and analysis on a number of finance-related topics, has just released its 2015 ranking of the safest places in Massachusetts. From ValuePenguin’s report: “Our team has analyzed the most recent FBI Crime Report to determine the safety of cities and towns in Massachusetts. These 237 ranged in a crime score from 71 to 3,742, with an average of 809. Narrowing it down to the five safest places to live, we found that four fit into our midsize city category, with populations between 10,000 and 20,000, and that all five are towns located with 35 miles of Boston.”
While Franklin didn’t make the top 5 total (although local towns Sharon and Norfolk did), Franklin was ranked as the safest of the “big cities” with a population over 20,000, and came in at the #10 spot overall. Check out the ValuePenguin report at the link above, or the Wicked Local Franklin news article on the findings here. The research just keeps showing that Franklin is a great place to live!
